Hi There! I’m Taylor, the founder of Nostalgia Coffee Roasters! I’m an ex-CPA turned coffee entrepreneur. I created Nostalgia back in 2018 for a few main reasons.
First, I’m absolutely crazy about coffee. Ever since I left Chicago, I have been longing for that delightful sensation I used to get from drinking the perfect cup during those bitter Chicago winters. In a way, I am constantly trying to recreate that feeling with each coffee we produce. Secondly, I love hanging out and being around people– hopefully always making their day better! Lastly, I was tired of the “fancy” coffee shops being judgmental and alienating folks who don’t study coffee for a living, and at the same time, it was nearly impossible to find an excellent cup of coffee from a neighborhood café.
Nostalgia was born from the idea that we are a coffee company for everyone. We are inviting, friendly, fun and we always make a darn good cup of joe. Whether you love the finest $200 per cup Geisha coffee or instant coffee, we’ve got something for you that will knock your socks off. With the launch of our online sales, we are able to bring our vibe, passion for coffee and our love of people to all 50 states and even the world! Enjoy!
Hi Everybody! I’m Brandt, the Head Roaster at Nostalgia! I’m originally from New Jersey and now live in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego where you can usually find me riding my bike or swimming in the ocean. The process of roasting coffee beans is dynamic, creative, and a lot of fun! Improvements and innovation in technology and agriculture have brought us into coffee’s Golden Age and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to explore this exciting frontier as the industry continues to move into the future. I’m proud to be able to share my life’s passion with all of the amazing people that comprise the greater coffee community and with you, our customers. Hope you enjoy what I’ve got roasting!
Howdy There! I’m Gage, the Director of Quality at Nostalgia. Most folks call me “Q” for short. I’m not a huge talker, but if you put a cup of coffee in front of me I’ll talk about the farmer, origins, roast profile, aromas, fragrance, acidity, and body until the cows come home. Tasting and analyzing coffee isn’t just a career for me, it’s what I love. When I’m not thinking about how to get the best possible cup of coffee in front of you, you can find me with a good cup of tea, watching a musical, or hanging out with some friends drinking bourbon. I’m excited to share some great coffee with y’all.
