Here at Nostalgia Coffee Roasters we pride ourselves on making diversity, equity, and inclusion our beating heart. These core values allow us to drive social change, boost visibility and representation of the LGBTQ+ community, and create a platform for economic empowerment. We're all about championing a world where everyone's uniqueness is not just celebrated but genuinely appreciated, and we do that through our disruption of the coffee industry. By intertwining representation and recognition, we strive to celebrate diversity, honor achievements, and empower individuals to embrace their true selves without compromise.

We are well aware that recognition without economic empowerment doesn’t go far enough. That's why, at every level, we've taken concrete steps to ensure that our commitment extends beyond mere acknowledgment. Here’s how we do it:

For our Producers:

We firmly believe that supporting and uplifting producers is crucial. That's why we not only give 5% of our annual revenue directly to the hardworking individuals who cultivate the coffee we love, but we also work directly with our producers to ensure they are educated on specialty coffee practices and pricing so they can grow the best coffee and communicate their own worth when other exporters try to cut their pricing. By doing so, we aim to create a sustainable and equitable supply chain that benefits those at the grassroots level.

For Our Employees: 

Coffee should be a career, not just a passion. To move the industry in that direction, we firmly believe in paying our employees a thriving rate: one that reflects their dedication, talent, and the invaluable contributions they make to our coffee community. We strive to create a work environment where everyone can grow while being fairly compensated for their hard work.

For our Community:

Everyday we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who are often marginalized. We deeply understand that true progress lies not just in acknowledgment, but also in actively uplifting and empowering individuals economically. That is why we sponsor, donate to, and otherwise support community support programs any chance we get. Just like this weekend, in honor of Pride Month, 30% of cafe sales will be donated toSan Diego LGBT Center with a donation match up to $500 from our property managers - Breakthrough Properties. So come on in to our cafe this weekend and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee in support of our San Diego LGBT+ community!
