SustainabilityMatters

Our company was built on the idea that quality matters. We strive to make the most out of all of our scarce resources and hope you do too. Each cup of coffee has its very own story and is cared for by many dedicated people before it makes it into your hands.

BuildingA Sustainable Future

Coffee is a natural resource that we must protect so it can be enjoyed by future generations. That is why we use an ethical roasting partner, Bird Rock, who works directly with farmers to ensure that crops are sustainable for years to come. We are dedicated to using only recyclable cups and environmentally safe, compostable corn straws. The impact of these small actions will help to keep forests alive to continue to provide the shaded canopy and other natural resources needed for coffee farms and other natural resources to continue to thrive.

AuthenticCoffee

Nostalgia partners with Birdrock Coffee Roasters because our values align. Bird Rock Coffee Roasters has won multiple national and international awards for quality, taste, roasting and socially responsible practices, including: the Good Food Award in 2016 and 2017. The Good Food Foundation exists to drive towards tasty, authentic and responsible food in order to humanize and reform our American food culture.

LimitedResources

Our physical footprint is small and but we also aim to keep our carbon footprint small. This is why we have a state of the art Inverter Generator that powers our entire operation with less than 5 gallons of gas for the entire day. With limited space, about the square footage of a Prius, we are acutely aware of the resources we are using each day. We strive to make every aspect of our business sustainable and ethical.

Environmental& Social Impact

We strive to keep our environmental impact at a minimum. “Sustainability touches every part of the coffee supply chain: from origin to production, transportation, warehousing, retail, and even consumer behavior.” -National Coffee Association

Our social impact is a part of our every day. We work with local non-profit organizations on an ongoing basis to donate a percentage of our revenue to help further their cause. Stay up to date on which organization we are working with by stopping by or checking out our latest blog post.
